We would like to inform you about changes to the Polish SENT monitoring system (System for Electronic Transport Supervision) which have taken effect on 17 March 2026.
The purpose of the SENT system is to monitor the transport of certain sensitive goods within Poland, including shipments to Poland, from Poland, or in transit through Poland.

New goods categories from 17 March 2026
The SENT monitoring system will be extended to include the following goods:
• clothing and garments (CN 61 and 62)
• used clothing and second-hand textiles (CN 6309)
• footwear (CN 64)

Goods already covered by the SENT system
The SENT system already applies to several sensitive product groups, including:
• liquid fuels and petroleum products
• LPG and other gaseous fuels
• alcohols (e.g. ethanol)
• tobacco products and tobacco raw materials
• lubricating oils and industrial oils
• solvents and certain chemical products
• vegetable oils and fats (e.g. rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, olive oil, used cooking oil)

Declaration responsibilities
Responsibilities within the SENT system are divided between the parties involved in the transport:
Consignor or Consignee
• registers the shipment in the SENT system
• provides the goods description, quantity and CN code
• provides the SENT reference number to the carrier

Carrier
• enters the vehicle details into the system
• ensures active GPS tracking while the vehicle is in Poland
• must verify that a valid SENT number exists before entering Poland

In case of violation of SENT requirements, Polish authorities may impose a penalty of up to 46% of the value of the goods, but at least 20,000 Polish zlotys, or approximately 5,000 euros.

Information required when placing transport orders
To ensure smooth transport operations through Poland, we kindly ask you to always provide:
• accurate description of goods
• HS / CN code
• quantity and number of packages
