From 1 July 2026, new requirements for 2.5-3.5 tonne vans used in international freight transport came into force in the European Union. The change means additional obligations for carriers, including the use of new generation tachographs and compliance with driving and rest time requirements.
Combined with the summer holiday season, these new requirements have reduced the availability of vehicles and may temporarily affect the pricing and response times for express and dedicated transport services across Europe. We therefore recommend booking urgent shipments as early as possible whenever feasible.
